So I think Chamath is right that they're effectively banning crypto in the United States. They're going to drive all these companies overseas, which is terrible for American innovation.

Crypto is dead in America. I mean, now you had Gensler even blaming the banking crisis on crypto. So the United States authorities have firmly pointed their guns at crypto.

I tend to think at this point, Bitcoin probably has to be regulated like a security, even if it is not, and it's more of a commodity only because of the volume and the sheer size of both the market and the potential fallout

All of this is going to inspire a lot of district attorneys and DOJ activity. ... The discovery is going to be bonkers and it's all going to be regulated to the point of in which it kills a lot of the opportunity. I think this is going to become the most regulated space.

And here, some folks have just, you know, basically escaped with billions and billions and billions of dollars. And the bag holder is just, you know, a retail investor. ... Because the level of grip that's happened in this market is extreme.

the amount of grift by so many of these venture firms in running these sketchy deals where they would put in some amount of money. ... You put in a little bit of equity at some crazy price and then you get these tokens and apparently there's no, like you can just sell these tokens day one.

We average, I think, one hack a week in the crypto ecosystem, right? This Beanstalk hack happened, what, just a few days ago. That was almost $200 million. Last month, Axie Infinity, what was that? Almost $600 million. ... There's no version of this in a world where it is a little bit of the Wild West.

I have spent no time understanding crypto markets, because it's so deep and it's so fluid. It's changing every day, it's changing every week. So if I can't get smart enough to feel confident about the opinions and decisions that I would be making as an investor, I decide not to invest and I stay out. And so I'm not an active crypto investor for that razor.

the idea that you as an individual investor are going to like, you know, pick off the one cryptocurrency here or there to invest in. I mean, that's going to be a lottery. I would I would find a manager basically who is really good, who has a track record, who understands this stuff.

Everything is moving so fast. ... What's successful today could be just a dog tomorrow and vice versa. That I think speculating in this market will not only will it be super volatile, but more than likely you're going to lose all your money. So I would encourage people to not speculate in crypto.
